Steeles Law sponsors the Charity Property Matters Survey 2018

It is an important piece of voluntary sector research conducted every two years by leading property advice charity the Ethical Property Foundation, in partnership with the Charity Commission of England and Wales and the Charity Finance Group.

It is the only research which asks voluntary organisations of all sizes about their property assets, issues and how this can impact on them.

Whether your organisation rents or owns its premises, by completing the survey – which takes just 10 minutes – you will help shape the sectors understanding of the role of property in your work.

The report which will be published later this year will be vital for everyone involved in the sector, whether service users, staff, trustees, funders, advisers, landlords, policy makers or local authorities. The report will provide information on improving engagement with voluntary and charity organisations, policymakers and the property industry.

    The 2016 survey showed that:

    • Almost half of all voluntary groups considered their premises as the biggest threat to long term sustainability.
    • Almost 2 in 3 respondents found it difficult to source core funds to cover premises costs.
    • Close to half had not paid for property advice in the last three years due to the expense of it.

Please help the voluntary sector find its collective voice about property and complete the survey now: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/CPM18
