A few words from Fiona …
“Never Again” – These were the two words uttered last year having completed the Coastal Challenge for the second time with Team Steeles.
Another two words for you – Rachael’s Fault!
I appear to have been the victim of very clever and crafty text banter, leading to me actually volunteering (seriously!) to walk with my friends Rachael, Sarah and the rest of our team ‘Sam’s Amazing Minions’ the 47 miles from Hunstanton to Cromer within 24 hours!
Having signed up to walk with a different group this year, I felt like I was betraying my trusty Team Steeles walking warriors, but on confession to Beth, Alison, James and Tom, it was quickly apparent I should not have been concerned. Quoting Beth “You are one crazy lady!” and Alison “I would definitely have said no if I had been asked again!”.
Norwich City Community Sports Foundation help over 38,000 people every year achieve their goals through sport, supporting some of the most disadvantaged, disabled people across Norfolk. [insert website link].
I can honestly say this challenge is the hardest thing I have done but I cannot wait to experience it again with this wonderful group. I know only too well there will be laughter, blisters and tears, but I also know the camaraderie will see us over the finish line.
Look out for updates about our training walks and our journey to the Coastal Walk Challenge.
